Narration from “Shuabul imaan” by Beyhaki:

7255 – أخبرنا أبو محمد عبد الله بن يحيى بن عبد الجبار السكري ، ببغداد ، أنا إسماعيل بن محمد الصفار ، نا عباس بن عبد الله الترقفي ، نا محمد بن المبارك ، نا معاوية بن يحيى أبو مطيع ، نا بحير بن سعد ، عن خالد بن معدان ، عن العرباض بن سارية قال : وعظنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم موعظة بليغة ، ذرفت (1) منها العيون ، ووجلت (2) منها القلوب قال قائل : كأن هذه موعظة مودع ، فما تأمرنا ؟ قال : « عليكم بالسمع والطاعة لمن ولاه الله أمركم ، وإن كان عبدا حبشيا ، ألا وسيرى من بقي منكم بعدي اختلافا كثيرا ، فمن أدرك ذاك منكم فعليه بسنتي وسنة الخلفاء المهديين ، عضوا عليها بالنواجذ (3) ، إياكم ومحدثات الأمور فإنها ضلالة

8 narrators:

1) Irbad ibn Sariyah (may Allah be pleased with him)

2) Khaleed ibn Madaan. Ibn Madaan didn’t hear from Irbad, but we have another chain from above, where they connected by Abdurrahman ibn Amr and Hujr ibn Hujr.

3) Buhayr ibn Sad. We talked about him before.

4) Moawiya ibn Yahya ash-Shame.
Abu Zurah said /thiqat/. Abu Dawud, Duhaym, ibn Main, Nasai said he’s not bad (1).

5) Muhammad ibn Mubarak ibn Yala al-Qurashe.
Ijle and Abu Khateem said he was /thiqat/. Ibn Hibban mentioned in “Thuqat” (2).

6) Abbas ibn Abdullah ibn Abu Isaa al-Wasete.
Abu Bakr al-Khateeb and Daraqutni said he was /thiqat/. Ibn Hibban mentioned in “Thuqat” (3).

7) Abu Ale Ismayeel ibn Muhammad as-Saffar. He was /thiqat/ as Daraqutni said (4).
Dhahabi said that he was muhadith of Bagdad and /thiqat/ (5).

8.) Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Yahya.
He was /sadiq/ like Khateeb said in “Tareeh al bagdad” (6).
