Tabarani in “Mosnad ash-shameeyin”

697 – حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن نجدة ثنا أبو المغيرة ح وحدثنا أبو زرعة الدمشقي ثنا أبو اليمان الحكم بن نافع قال ثنا إسماعيل بن عياش قالا ثنا أرطاة بن المنذر عن المهاصر بن حبيب عن العرباض بن سارية قال : وعظنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم بعد صلاة الغداة موعظة بليغة ذرفت منها العيون ووجلت منها القلوب فقال رجل من أصحابه يا رسول الله كأنها موعظة مودع فقال أوصيكم بتقوى الله والسمع والطاعة وإن كان عبدا حبشيا فإنه من يعش منكم بعدي يرى اختلافا كثيرا فعليكم بسنتي وسنة الخلفاء الراشدين المهديين بعدي عضوا عليها بالنواجذ

Narrators:
1) Irbad ibn Sariyah (may Allah be pleased with him).

2) Muhaseer (or Mahaaser) ibn Hubayb.
Abu Khateem said he’s not bad (1).
Ibn Hibban mentioned him in “Thuqat” #5689.
Ijle said /thiqat/ in “Marifatul thuqat” #1803, 2 volume.

2) Artat ibn Muntheer Shame..
Imam Ahmad said: /thiqat thiqat/. Ibn Muin said /thiqat/. Abu Khateem ar-Razi said thet he is not bad (2).

3) Ismayeel ibn Ayash.
Dhahabi said: Scholar of people of Sham.
Ibn Muin said he was /thiqat/.
Buhari said: “If he narrated from people from his country, he is /thiqat/. If from others, then such narrations are under question”. I should mention that this hadith he narrated from Artat that was also from Sham.
Nasai said he was weak. Ibn Hibban said: He erred a lot in his narrations, and he fell out of bounds to be relied on” (3).

4) Hakeem ibn Nafe.
Ijle said that he wasn’t bad. Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Mawsoole said he was /thiqat/ (4).
Ibn Hajar said in “Taqreeb”: /thiqatun thabeet/. Reliable and upright.

5) Two narrators in this part of chain. Abu Zurah ad-Dimashqe. Imam muhadeeth. And Abu Muqeyrah.

6) Ahmad ibn Abdulwahab ibn Najde.
Ibn Hajar in “Taqreeb” said /saduq/

Marwazi in his “Sunnan”:

حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، أنبا عيسى بن يونس ، ثنا ثور بن يزيد ، عن خالد بن معدان ، عن عبد الرحمن بن عمرو السلمي ، عن العرباض بن سارية الفزاري ، وكان من الباكين قال : صلى بنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صلاة الغداة فأقبل علينا فوعظنا موعظة بليغة ذرفت منها الأعين ووجلت منها القلوب ، فقال قائل : يا رسول الله كأن هذا موعظة مودع ، فقال : « أوصيكم بتقوى الله والسمع والطاعة وإن عبدا حبشيا مجدعا ، فإنه من يعش منكم فسيرى اختلافا كثيرا ، فعليكم بسنتي وسنة الخلفاء الراشدين المهديين من بعدي عضوا عليها بالنواجذ وإياكم ومحدثات الأمور فإن كل بدعة ضلالة »

1) Irbad ibn Sariyah (may Allah be pleased with him). 2) Abdurrahman ibn Amr. 3) Khaleed ibn Madaan. 4) Thurr ibn Yazeed.

5) Isa ibn Yunus ibn Abu Ishaq, Abu Amr Sabee.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Abu Khateem, Yaqub ibn Shayba, Nasai, ibn Khirash said he was /thiqat/ (5).

6) Ishaq ibn Ibraheem. Most known like ibn Rahaveyh. Imam, alim, sadiq.
