Let us see a hadith from the most authentic shia book and explanation by shia scholar.
In “Miratul Uqul” Majlisi quoted hadith from Kafi:
523 – Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Qummi from his uncle Abdullah ibn Salat from Yunus ibn Abdurrahman from Abdullah ibn Sinan from Husayn al-Jamil, that Abu Abdullah (alaihi salam) commented verse from Quran: (41:29) Our Lord! show us those who led us astray from among the jinn and the men that we may trample them under our feet so that they may be of the lowest”. (Imam said) – (The talk is about) those two. Then he said: And such and such was shaitan.
In the commentary of this hadith, Majlisi graded it as hasan or muwathaq, and then said:
Saying of alaihi salam “those two” mean Abu Bakr and Umar. And by saying “such and such” was mean Umar. Jin that was mentioned in verse is Umar. He was named such because he was shaitan. That is because he was parter of shaitan because he was child of adultery or because he was like shaitan in tricks and frauds. And in the end it also possible contrary, that by “such and such” was mean Abu Bakr”.
