Shia commentary of 238 verse from al-Baqara

Allah Taala said in the Quran:

Attend constantly to prayers and to the middle prayer and stand up truly obedient to Allah.

Let us see commentary of shias on this beautiful verse, believe me! You would be surprised.

Muhammad ibn Masood al-Ayashi in his tafsir vol 1, p 128:

421 – Zurarah – Abdurrahman ibn Kathir from Abu Abdullah (alaihi salam), which said regarding saying of Allah: “Attend constantly to prayers and to the middle prayer and stand up truly obedient to Allah”. Imam said: “Prayers” –  prophet, commander of faithful, Fatimah, al-Hasan, al-Husayn. “Middle prayer” – commander of faithful. “Stand up truly obedient to Allah” – obedient to Imams.

  1. This hadeeth is da`eef (weak).

According to SaHeeH hadeeth Salah Al-WusTa (The Middle Prayer) is Salaah Al-Dhuhr.

From Zuraarah said: I asked Abaa Ja`far : “…and He, ta`aala, said: ‘guard upon your prayers, and the middle prayer’ (2:238). And it is salaah al-dhuhr, and it is the first salaah that the Messenger of Allaah prayed, and it is in the middle of the day, and the middle of the two prayers in the day, salaah al-ghadaa’ (fajr) and salaah al-`aSr.”
