They lied upon ibn Khallikan (rahmatullahi alaih)

First of all I would like to present the shia shaykh who first invented lie upon ibn Khallikan (rahmatullahi alaih)

Qadi Nurullah at-Tustari al-Marashi (d 1019). In his book “Ihqaqul Haq” (1/63-64), this shia shaykh said:

قال في كتابه المشهور والموسوم بوفيات الأعيان عند ذكر ترجمة علي بن جهم القرشي وكونه منحرفا عن علي عليه السلام: إن محبة علي لا تجتمع مع التسنن، هذا كلامه بعبارته الملعونة التي قصد بها الاعتذار عن انحراف ابن جهم المذكور

And in his book, famous known “Wafayatul Ayan” when he mentioned bio of Ali ibn Jahm al-Qurashi, which deviated from Ali, alaihi salam (he said): Love of Ali doesn’t reconcile with being sunni. And these curse words by which he wanted to justify mentioned deviation of ibn Jahm.

Scans from printed edition:

This quotation from ibn Khallikan was repeated by:

1) Nematullah Jazairi in “Noor al-Bahrayn” (1/59)

2) Muhammad Radi “Kadhabu ala shia” p 278

3) Muhaqiq al-Amuli in “Maana Nasib wa Huku Tazwaju minhu” p 67 quoted this in other form, as if ibn Khallikan said:

“And Ali ibn al-Jahm forgiven because love of Ali doesn’t reconcile with sunnizm”.

However ibn Khallikan in reality said:

وكان مع انحرافه عن علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه وإظهاره التسنن مطبوعا مقتدرا على الشعر عذب الألفاظ اهـ

And along with his deviation against Ali ibn Abu Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, and showing sunnizm printed in poetry with sweet wordings

And here scan from handwriting dated 1113 hijri:

As all you can see: Not a single hint to that love of Ali and sunnizm couldn’t reconcile! Laanatullahi alal kadhibin!
