مع أن ظاهر بعض الآيات هو الجسمية كقوله تعالى: الرحمن على العرش استوى (2) وقوله تعالى: وجاء ربك والملك صفا صفا (3) وغيرهما فالتمسك بظاهر الآيات مع عدم ملاحظة تأويلها ليس بكفر إذا لم يلتزم بلوازم الجسمية ولم يلتفت إليها وأما الروايات فلعل المراد بالكفر فيها هو الكفر الأخروي كما يأتي نظيره في بحث كفر العامة واسلامهم كيف لا والحال أن كثيرا من العامة قائلون بجسميته تعالى بل كثير من عوام الخاصة يزعمون أنه تعالى جسم لا كالأجسام ونور لا كالأنوار والالتزام بكفر جميعهم كما ترى.

[Although the apparent of some verses is the body, such as His saying (swt): {The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established.} and His saying (swt): {And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank} and others, so holding on to what is apparent of the verses without noticing the need of interpretation is not Kufr unless it makes the body necessary, as for the narrations, then maybe what is meant by ‘Kufr’ in them is the Kufr in the after-life only as we shall see in the section of the Kufr and Islam of the `Amah(Sunnies), and how can they not be when many of the `Amah(Sunnies) believe in His body (swt), but rather many of the laymen of the Khasah(Shia) believe that He (swt) is a body unlike bodies, and a light unlike the lights, and we stick to their Kufr as you see.]
