Ali Zain al-‘Abideen (rah) and the Shia of Kufa

This is what ‘Ali bin al-Hussein (a Wahhabi?) said to the Shia straight away from the book al-Ihtijaj volume 2 pages 305-306 by al-Sheikh at-Tabarsi:

Huthaym bin Shurayk al-Asadi said:
Zain al-‘Abideen (as) came out to address the people and he waved his hand at them so they would stop talking and they did. As he stood he praised Allah and thanked him and sent greetings upon his prophet, he then said: “O people, some of you know me and some do not! for he who does not know me then I am ‘Ali son of al-Husein who was slaughtered near al-Furat, I am the son of the one whose women were insulted and his family was robbed, I am the son of the one who died while he was patient, that is more than enough for me to be proud.”
“O people, I ask you by Allah do you know that you wrote to my father and tricked him? you gave him the oath and promised him allegiance then you fought him and let him down so Damn you and your choice! How dare you look at the prophet SAWS when he says “you killed my progeny and violated my sanctity, you are not of my nation!”
The people’s voices had risen as they cried and said to each other: “We have perished.”

(…they then pledged loyalty to him and assured him of his obedience…)

‘Ali bin al-Husein responded: “No chance! no chance! you back-stabbers and schemers...”

(…until he said to them…)

“...I only ask of you that you do not support us or oppose us!”

(then he recited some poetry).

Ali ibn al-Husayn upon shaykhan

Dr Amar Hasan Sabri in “Zawaid Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal fi Musnad” (p 400-401):

It was narrated to me by Abu Muamar from ibn Abu Hazim, which said: A man came to Ali ibn al-Husayn and asked him: What was a place of Abu Bakr and Umar in (the eyes) of prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam)? Imam answered: “The same as in this hour” (1).Chain is broken, and narrators are thiqat.
Ali ibn al-Husayn that’s Zaynalabidin famous follower (tabein). And ibn Abu Hazim that’s Abdulaziz ibn Abu Hazim Salamah ibn Dinar, and he was thiqat but he didn’t reached Ali ibn al-Husayn, and Abu Muamar that’s Ismail ibn Ibrahim ibn Muamar.
This report was transmitted by Abdullah in “Zawaid Fadailus Sahaba” (223) and in “Zawaidu Zuhd” (2/17) with the same chain and text.
al-Heythami in “Majmau zawaid” 9/45 said: Narrated Abdullah and I don’t know ibn Abu Hazim, shaykh of Abdullah was thiqat.
Muhaqiq of “Fadailus Sahaba” said: This report present in the “Fadailus Sahaba” of Daraqutni from ibn Abu Hazim from his father and this chain is connected and authentic

Argument of Zayd ibn Ali against Rafidah

Yes, it not just the Wahhabis who call the Rafidha what they are i.e. Rafidah.

It was narrated by Kulayni in his al-Kafi 1/174, and authenticated both by Majlisi and Bahbude:

A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘isa from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban which narrated from al-Ahwal that Zayd ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn (alaihi salam) sent for him …

Ibn Taimiyyah on Ali (r.a)

Listen to the “Father Of The Wahhabi’s” alayhi rahmatallah:

In his book while he was answering to question regarding person, who doesn’t consider Ali as a part of ahlelbayt, sheikhul Islaam said:

As for Ali being the part of ahlelbayt, that is from things regarding which there is no contradiction between Muslims. And that is so apparent between Muslims, that need no proof. More than this, he is best from ahlalbayt, and best from bani Hashim after the messenger of Allah (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam). And it’s proven from messenger of Allah (salallalahu alaihi wa sallam) that he put his cloak upon Ali, and Fatima, and Hasan and Husayn and said: “O Allah, these are my ahlelbayt, take away from them impurity, and purify them with a thorough purification”.

Imam ar-Rida and Caliph al-Mamun

Saduq reported in his Uyun akhbarul Riza (1/157):

Al-Hakim Abu Ali Al-Hussein ibn Ahmad al-Bayhaqi narrated that Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Sowli quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Al-Qasim ibn Isma’il that he had heard Ibrahim ibn Al-Abbas say, “When Al-Ma’mun pledged allegiance to Ali ibn Musa Al-Reza (alaihi salam), the Imam (alaihi salam) told him, ‘O Commander of the Faithful! It is obligatory to be sincere with you. It is not proper for a believer to be tricky. The masses of the people do not like what you did to me. Especially, the elites do not like what you did with Al-Fadhl ibn Sahl. Now it is best for you to send both of us away from yourself until you can manage your own affairs.’” Ibrahim said, “By God! It was these words which resulted in what happened to him (death).”

And in same book you can read:

Al-Hakim Abu Ali Al-Hussein ibn Ahmad al-Bayhaqi narrated that Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Sowli quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ishaq, on the authority of his father, “When they pledged allegiance to Al-Reza (alaihi salam), the people gathered around him and congratulated him. He made a gesture to them to become silent and after hearing their words, he said, ‘In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Praise be to God who does whatever He wills. No one can object to His Decrees. No one can reject His Destiny. He knows whatever treason that lies in one’s heart from the sight and whatever is hidden in the hearts. May God’s Blessings be upon Muhammad, upon the first and the last creatures, upon his good and pure Household.’ He then added, ‘I am Ali ibn Musa ibn Ja’far. Indeed the Commander of the Faithful (Al-Ma’mun) – may God assist him in righteousness and make him successful in being rational – has recognized one of our rights which others were ignorant about. He has established ties of kinship which others have broken. He has granted security to people who lived in fear. He even revived them and rescued them from destruction. He enriched them when they were in need. He was seeking the pleasure of the Lord of the Two Worlds in doing all this. He did not ask anyone but Him to reward him. God will reward the ones who are grateful. He will not let the reward of the good-doers be forgotten. He turned over the succession to the throne to me. He has entrusted his great rule to me after him. And whoever breaks a contract that God has ordered to be safeguarded, and loosens ties which God likes to be tightened has indeed underestimated God’s Bounds, and has allowed what God has forbidden. In this way, he has denied the leader of his right and has disobeyed his orders. He has thus disrespected Islam as was done in the past. The Trustee (Ali ibn Abi Talib (alaihi salam)) put up with all the instances of breaching of the covenants, and did not even object to those later when he was in power, fearing dispersion in the religion and turmoil in the ties which held the Muslims together. This was because the ideas of the Age of Ignorance were still in their minds and the hypocrites were on the watch to get a chance to create havoc. Now I do not know what is going to happen to me and you. Indeed there is no arbitrator but God. He is the only One who clarifies the truth. He is the best Separator.”

Discussing error of prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam)

We have already discussed and presented to readers quote from shia sheikh ibn Babaweyh regarding error of prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam) in the prayer.

Now, I’d like to present another quote from Majlisi, regarding the same question.

In his book, he said:

And Ibn Babuya and some muhadditheen say that sahw wa nusyan is not permissible (jaiz) for them (i.e the Prophets) but it is permissible (jaiz) that Allah make them sahw due to some reasons. As the Prophet (as) did sahw in the prayer of Asr or Dhuhr, and said ‘salam’ in the first tash’had. When the people reminded him, he prayed the remaining two rakat. They say that it was for the reason that if someone amongst the ummah does sahw, the others don’t criticize him and secondly that (the people) don’t start assuming them to be gods. But the other scholars don’t accept this sahw and consider the ahadith in this regard to be due to taqiyah.

Haqqul Yaqin, Vol. 1, p. 25

Explaining this by taqiyyah, is most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard.

Ali Ibn Abi Talib [RA] – THE “Wahhabi”!

By Ebn Hussein

NOTE: This post will be updated from time to time to collect a biggest resource of evidences that prove that Ahl Al Sunnah are in fact upon the Madhab and Aqidah of Ali -radiyallahu anhuand that the Rafidah are nothing but Zanadiqa (heretics) who claim to follow him and in most cases even do the exact opposite.

Strange headline, yet the facts testify to this and the intent is to show what our Khalifa, Ali Ibn Abi Talib -Allah is well pleased with him- would most probably face IF he would have met a Rafidi Shi’i today (before the days of Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Abdilwahhab they would have called him Nasibi IF they only knew what he was upon)

Religion of ibn Affan and religion of ibn Abu Talib

Salam alaikum, at one popular shia site I seen this short article. It’s entitled “Imam Ali (as) and Uthman followed DIFFERENT religions!”.

After such designing heading, rafidi wrote:

There is an interesting narration in Musnaf Abdur-Razzak 11/453, Hadith No. 20983:

Abdur-Razzak – Mu’amar – Ibn Tawus – his father, who said: Ibn Abbas entered upon Mu’awiyah, and Mu’awiyah said to him: “I see you practising the religion of Ibn Abi Talib (i.e. Imam Ali)”. Ibn Abbas answered: “No, I do not practise the religion of Ibn Affan (i.e. Uthman)!

This is quite shocking. Isn’t it? And sadly, all the narrators are narrators of BOTH Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim!
So, the religion of Imam Ali (as) was different from that of Uthman and Mu’awiyah?

First of all, rafidi gave wrong translation.

Moawiya asked:

I see you upon nation (millat) of ibn Abu Talib.

And ibn Abbas answered:

“No, and (I am) not upon nation of ibn Affan”.

Second, exactly in accordance to tradition of his forefathers, rafidi cut text of hadith.

Here hadith in complete form:

He cut red marked part, where written: Tawos (one of the narrators) said: “It’s mean nation (religion) of Muhammad sallahu alaihi wa sallam, doesn’t belong to one”.

By such answer, ibn Abbas showed that it’s incorrect to ascribe nation (religion) to anyone except Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam), people could err, moslems could fight against each other, but their religion would remain the same, the one and only, religion of beloved prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam).

Allah knows best.

Don’t swear by anyone except by Allah

Salam alaikum.

In shariah it’s well known, that it’s prohibited to swear by anyone or anything except Allah.

Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Allah’s Messenger(sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever swears by other than Allah has disbelieved or committedShirk.” [At-Tirmidhi graded this Hadith as Hasan (fair) and Al-Hakim has graded it Sahih (sound)].

Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “To swear by Allah while lying is more loved by me than to swear by other than Him while speaking truth.”

Imam Nawawe dedicated separate chapter on this in his book “Riyad as salihin”.

Shia scholar famous Mirza Hussain Noore Tabarsi in his book “Mustadrak al-wasail” (vol 6, p 50) narrated:

And it was reported from him (sallahu alaihi wa ali) that he said: “Whoever would swear by other than Allah committed shirk”.

And he also narrated (vol 6, p 64):

And from him (sallahu alaihi wa alihi) that he said: “Whoever swear to someone other than Allah, he committed kufr or shirk”

Agreement of Ali with ijtihad of Umar and Uthman

Imam Moslem narrated in “Sahih” (Book 017, Number 4231):

Hudain b. al-Mundhir Abu Sasan reported: I saw that Walid was brought to Uthmin b. ‘Affan as he had prayed two rak’ahs of the dawn prayer, and then he said: I make an increase for you. And two men bore witness against him. One of them was Humran who said that he had drunk wine. The second one gave witness that he had seen him vomiting. Uthman said: He would not have vomited (wine) unless he had drunk it. He said: ‘Ali, stand up and lash him. ‘Ali said: Hasan, stand up and lash him. Thereupon Hasan said: Let him suffer the heat (of Caliphate) who has enjoyed its coolness. (‘Ali felt annoyed at this remark) and he said: ‘Abdullah b. Ja’far, stand up and flog him, and he began to flog him and ‘Ali counted the stripes until these were forty. He (Hadrat ‘Ali) said: Stop now, and then said: Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) gave forty stripes, and Abu Bakr also gave forty stripes, and Umar gave eighty stripes, and all these fall under the category of the Sunnab, but this one (forty stripes) is dearer to me.

Imam Abu Dawud as-Sijistane narrated in his “Sunnan” (Book 38, Number 4465):

Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:

Hudayn ibn al-Mundhir ar-Ruqashi, who was AbuSasan, said: I was present with Uthman ibn Affan when al-Walid ibn Uqbah was brought to him. Humran and another man bore witness against him (for drinking wine). One of them testified that he had seen him drinking wine, and the other testified that he had seen him vomiting it.

Uthman said: He could not vomit it, unless he did not drink it. He said to Ali: Inflict the prescribed punishment on him. Ali said to al-Hasan: Inflict the prescribed punishment on him.

Al-Hasan said: He who has enjoyed its pleasure should also bear its burden. So Ali said to Abdullah ibn Ja’far: Inflict the prescribed punishment on him. He took a whip and struck him with it while Ali was counting.

When he reached (struck) forty (lashes), he said: It is sufficient. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) gave forty lashes. I think he also said: “And Abu Bakr gave forty lashes, and Uthman eighty. This is all sunnah (standard practice). And this is dearer to me.”

And he also narrated (Book 38, Number 4466):

Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:

The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) and AbuBakr gave forty lashes for drinking wine and Umar made it eighty. And all this is sunnah, the model and standard practice.

Both of hadith are sahih. (see “Sahih Sunnan Abu Dawud” by Albani 4480, 4481)

Imam Nawavi said:

“This narration is manifest proof that Ali (r.a) honoured the actions and commandments of Umar and Abu Bakr by acknowledging their actions as a Sunnah, contrary to the lies which the shias ascribe to him”.

(quoted from footnote at pages 90-91, from the book “Iqamil Hujjah ‘Ala Anna Ikthar Fil ta’abud Laysa Bi Bid’at” (in english) by imam Abul Hasanat Abdulhai al-Lucknawi, printed by al-Hamra publication).
