Muhammad Baqir Majlisi and tahrif

Just another quote from  shia giant Muhammad Baqir al-Majlisi.

In his book “Tazkiratul Aimma” p 9, he said:

إن عثمان حذف من هذا القرآن ثلاثة أشياء: مناقب أمير المؤمنين علي وأهل بيته، وذم قريش والخلفاء الثلاثة، مثل آية يا ليتني لم اتخذ أبا بكر خليلا

“Uthman deleted from this Quran 3 things: Merits of commender of faithful Ali and his family, condemnation of quraysh and 3 caliphs, like verse: O woe is me! would that I had not taken Abu Bakr for a friend !”

Verse that this shia was referring to is following:

[Shakir 25:28] O woe is me! would that I had not taken such a one for a friend !

Ali ibn Ibrahim al-Qummi in his commentary (2/113) to this verse wrote:

يا ويلتا ليتني لم أتخذ فلانا خليلا يعني الثاني

O woe is me! would that I had not taken such a one for a friend”, that mean second one !

Other rafidi Ali Pooya said:

A warning has been given in these verses not to choose or accept any one, other than the thoroughly purified, as the guide-leader (Imam), particularly those who on account of their spiritual impurity openly defied the commands of Allah and the Holy Prophet regarding the wilayah andimamah of Ali ibn abi Talib and the Imams in his progeny through Bibi Fatimah Zahra.

Other heretic al-Faydh al-Kashani give such explanation of verses in this surah.

He said in his Tafsir as-Safi (4/11):

(28) يا ويلتا ليتني لم اتخذ فلانا خليلا قال يعني الثاني.
(29) لقد اضلني عن الذكر بعد إذ جآئني قال يعني الولآية وكان الشيطان قال وهو الثاني للانسان خذولا .

(28) ” O woe is me! would that I had not taken such a one for a friend !” That’s mean second one.

(29) “Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me”, said: That’s mean Wilayah. And the Shaitan and that’s second one fails to aid man.

Regarding whom was revealed?

Allah Taala said in the Quran:

[Shakir 61:2] O you who believe! why do you say that which you do not do?

[Shakir 5:54] O you who believe! whoever from among you turns back from his religion, then Allah will bring a people, He shall love them and they shall love Him, lowly before the believers, mighty against the unbelievers, they shall strive hard in Allah’s way and shall not fear the censure of any censurer; this is Allah’s Face, He gives it to whom He pleases, and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.

[Shakir 2:104] O you who believe! do not say Raina and say Unzurna and listen, and for the unbelievers there is a painful chastisement.

[Shakir 2:208] O you who believe! enter into submission one and all and do not follow the footsteps of Shaitan; surely he is your open enemy.

[Shakir 4:43] O you who believe! do not go near prayer when you are Intoxicated until you know (well) what you say, nor when you are under an obligation to perform a bath– unless (you are) travelling on the road– until you have washed yourselves; and if you are sick, or on a journey, or one of you come from the privy or you have touched the women, and you cannot find water, betake yourselves to pure earth, then wipe your faces and your hands; surely Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.

[Shakir 8:27] O you who believe! be not unfaithful to Allah and the Messenger, nor be unfaithful to your trusts while you know.

[Shakir 49:2] O you who believe! do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak loud to him as you speak loud to one another, lest your deeds became null while you do not perceive.

[Shakir 63:9] O you who believe! let not your wealth, or your children, divert you from the remembrance of Allah; and whoever does that, these are the losers.

Well, if we would base our answer on sunni books, we have explanation for all these verses.

But if we would base our answer on shia books, we should say: ALL OF THESE VERSES WERE REVEALED ABOUT AHLALBAYT, AND HEAD OF THEM – ALI IBN ABU TALIB.

al-Majlisi in “Biharul anwar” (33/333, also see Tafsir Furat al-Kufi, p 49) narrated:

عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله أنه قال : ما أنزل الله تعالى آية في القرآن فيها ” يا أيها الذين آمنوا ” إلا وعلي أميرها وشريفها .

From messenger (sallalahu alaihi wa ali): “Allah didn’t reveal verse that begins with ‘O you who believe,’ without Ali being their (mentioned believers) head,  and their distinction”

Other giant of rafidah, Sayed Hashim Bahrani in “Ghayatul maram” , chapter 230, quoted from Sahifa ar-Rida:

صحيفة الرضا (عليه السلام) قال: ليس في القرآن آية (يا أيها الذين آمنوا) إلا في حقنا

Sahifa ar-Rida (alaihi salam) says: “There is no verse in Quran (starting) from “O you who believe!”, except as in our rights (about us)”.

Aimma are the light of Allah. Strange commentary.

Salam alaikum.

People who browsed section “Shia commentary of Quran” already aware about what kind of ridiculous examples of tafsir they could find in main books of shias. And here another portion of weird tafsir.

First example.

Allah Taala said in surah At-Taghabun: [Shakir 64:8] Therefore believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Light which We have revealed; and Allah is Aware of what you do.

Kulayni in his “al-Kafi” (1/194) narrated that imam Abu Jafar (alaihi salam) said about this marked verse:

يَا أَبَا خَالِدٍ النُّورُ وَالله الائِمَّةُ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُمْ وَالله نُورُ الله الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ وَهُمْ وَالله نُورُ الله فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَفِي الارْضِ

O abu Khalid, I swear by Allah that it is the Imams from the family of the Holy Prophet (s.a.) up to the Day of Judgment who are called light in the above verse. They, I swear by Allah, are the light of Allah whom He sent down. It is they, I swear by Allah, who are the light of Allah in the heavens and in the earth.

Second example.

Ar-Rahman said in the Quran: [Shakir 7:156] And ordain for us good in this world’s life and m the hereafter, for surely we turn to Thee. He said: (As for) My chastisement, I will afflict with it whom I please, and My mercy encompasses all things; so I will ordain it (specially) for those who guard (against evil) and pay the poor-rate, and those who believe in Our communications.
[Shakir 7:157] Those who follow the Messenger-Prophet, the Ummi, whom they find written down with them in the Taurat and the Injeel (who) enjoins them good and forbids them evil, and makes lawful to them the good things and makes unlawful to them impure things, and removes from them their burden and the shackles which were upon them; so (as for) those who believe in him and honor him and help him, and follow the light which has been sent down with him, these it is that are the successful.

Kulayni narrated in “al-Kafi” (1/194):

قَالَ النُّورُ فِي هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ عَلِيٌّ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالائِمَّةُ (عَلَيْهم السَّلام).

(Abu Abdullah, alaihi salam said) “It is Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) and the Imams (a.s.) after him who are called ‘light’ here”.

Example number three.

Kulayni narrated in his book “al-Kafi” (1/195) via two ways:

Abu ‘Abdallah (alaihi salam) has said the following about the verse of the Holy Quran below. “God is the light of the heavens and the earth. A metaphor for His light is a lantern in which there is a lamp placed in a glass. The glass is like a shining star which is lit from a blessed olive tree that is neither eastern nor western. Its oil almost lights up even though it has not been touched by the fire. It is light upon light. God guides to His light whomever He wants. God uses various metaphors. He has the knowledge of all things.” (24:35) The Imam (alaihi salam) said that the lantern metaphorically stands for the Holy lady, Fatima (alaihi salam), the lamp stands for Imam al-Hassan (alaihi salam) and the glass stands for Imam al-Husayn (alaihi salam). The shining star stands for the Holy lady Fatima (a.s.) who shines among the ladies of the world. The blessed olive tree stands for Prophet Abraham. Neither eastern nor western means not Jewish nor Christian. ‘Its oil almost lights up’ means that it almost bursts up with knowledge. ‘Light up on light’ means that there will one Imam after the other Imam (alaihi salam) ‘God guides to His light who ever He wants’ means that Allah guides through the Imams whomever He wants.” About ‘God uses various metaphors’ I said, “Or it (the deeds of the unbelievers) are like the darkness of a deep, stormy sea with layers of giant waves, covered by dark clouds. It is darkness upon darkness whereby even if one stretches out his hands he can not see them. One can have no light unless God gives him light. (24:40) The Imam (alaihi salam) said, ” ‘darkness’ refers to the first and his friend, ‘with layers of giant waves’ refers to the third, ‘covered with darkness’ refers to the second. ‘it is darkness up on darkness’ refers to Mu‘awiya and the disasters caused by the Amavides. ‘even if one stretches out his hands’ means that even if a true believer would stretch his hands in such disastrous condition ‘he can not see them’. ‘One can have no light unless God gives him light, means the light from the children of the Holy Lady, Fatima (a.s.) ‘Can have no light’ means an Imam on the Day of Judgment.” The Imam (alaihi salam) said that, “On the Day of Judgment you will see the believers with their light shining in front of them and to their right. They will be told, “Paradise wherein streams flow is the glad news for you today. You will live therein forever. This is the greatest triumph.” (57:12), the shining light in front . . .’ is a reference to the Imams (a.s.) whom would walk in front and on the right of the true believers until they all enter paradise.”

This is a perfect example of false batene commentary, and no doubt that aimma from ahlalbayt were far from such mockery with Quran. Interesting thing, that al-Majlisi in his “Miratul uqul” weakened first way of transmission, and authenticated the second one. No doubt that by such attitude toward commentary of Holy Book of Moslems, you can find there whatever you want. May Allah protect  Moslems from such mockery by Quran.

Tafsir of 12 verse of surah Yasin

Allah said:
[Shakir 36:12] Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing.
[Yusufali 36:12] Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence).
[Pickthal 36:12] Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register.

Mahdi Pooya in commentary wrote:  Imam Muhammad bin Ali al Baqir said that when this verse was revealed, Abu Bakr and Umar asked the Holy Prophet: “Is imamum mubin the Tawrat given to Musa?” The answer was: “No”. Again they asked: “Is it Injil, given to Isa?” The answer was: “No”. Then they asked: “Is it the Holy Quran?” “No”, was the answer. Then turning towards Ali ibn abi Talib, the Holy Prophet said: “Verily this is the Imam in whom Allah has deposited the knowledge of everything.” Then, addressing the people present there, the Holy Prophet said: “O people, there is no branch of knowledge Allah did not teach me and I have not conveyed it to Ali. Verily Allah has given me wisdom and I have given it to Ali. I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate.” ( see also “Tafsir suratul Yasin” Nasir Makarem Shirazi “Al Qalam” publishing house, p 28. Also see “Maanil ahbar” p 95)

Tafsir of surah at-Tin

Allah said in Quran:

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ {1}
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ {2}
وَهَذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ {3}
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ {4}
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ {5}
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ {6}
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ {7}
أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ {8}
I swear by the fig and the olive,
And mount Sinai,
And this city made secure,
Certainly We created man in the best make.
Then We render him the lowest of the low.
Except those who believe and do good, so they shall have a reward never to be cut off.
Then who can give you the lie after (this) about the judgment?
Is not Allah the best of the Judges?

Ale ibn Ibraheem al Qummi wrote in tafseer 2/429:
التين رسول الله (صلى الله وعليه وآله) والزيتون امير المؤمنين (عليه السلام) وطور سينين الحسن والحسين (عليهما السلام) والبلد الامين الائمة (عليهم السلام)
“And “fig” that’s prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa alihi), and “olive” that’s amiralmomineen (a.s), “and mount Sinai” that’s Hasan adn Husayn, and secured city that’s imams”.

Tafsir of 84:19

Kulayni in “Kafi” (1/413), authenticated by Bahbude and Majlisi.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Jamil ibn Salih from Zurara from abu Ja‘far (alayhi salam) about the words of Allah, the Most High. “you shall most certainly enter one state after another.” /84:19/. The Imam (alayhi salam) said, “O Zurara, Has this ’Umma (nation) not passed through stages after the Holy Prophet (s.a) and the affairs of three so and so?”

And now complete verse in context.
[84:15] Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him.
[84:16] But nay! I swear by the sunset redness,
[84:17] And the night and that which it drives on,
[84:18] And the moon when it grows full,
[84:19] That you shall most certainly enter one state after another.
[84:20] But what is the matter with them that they do not believe,
[84:21] And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance?

Bee = Imam

Allah Taala said in the Quranil Kareem
(016.068) And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men’s) habitations

Shia narrated that masoom imam said: “That was revealed about us. We are bee, our shias are hills, and the trees are our women from believers. And imams are bees and Ali is our master”.

Commentary on Laylat Al-Qadr

‘Ayatullah’ Wahid Al-Khorasani (one of the Grand ‘Ayatullahs’ of Qom/Iran) narratesin his book that Abu Abdullah (Al-Sadiq) said:

‘We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power’ [Qur’an, Surah Al-Qadr]. [Al-Sadiq says] the night stands for Fatimah and the Qadr (predestination) for Allah so whomsoever acknowledges Fatimah fully will understand (be aware) of Laylat Al-Qadr.’

Lord means imam

#mce_temp_url#Allah Taala said in the Quran:

(az-Zumar, 69) And the earth shall beam with the light of its Lord, and the Book shall be laid down, and the prophets and the witnesses shall be brought up, and judgment shall be given between them with justice, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.

Ali ibn Ibrahim al-Qummi in the commentary of these words “And the earth shall beam with the light of its Lord”, narrated (2/253) that imam said:

رب الارض يعني إمام الارض

“Loard of the earth it’s mean imam of the earth”.

And let me remind you that this Ali al-Qummi believed that everything he narrated is authentic.

Some disturbing examples of shia commentary

Salam alaikum wa rahmatullah.

Ibn Kutayba ad-Dinawari (don’t confuse him with rafidi ibn Kutayba which was real author of «al-Imama wa siyasa») in his book «Tawil mukhtalaful hadith» gave some examples of rafidi commentaries to Quran:

«And Sulaiman was Dawood’s heir» (27/16) in accordance to them here Sulaiman means their imam which became a heir to knowledge of prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa salam).
Saying of Allah «Surely Allah commands you that you should sacrifice a cow» (2/67) they interpret that cow which should be sacrificed thats Aisha.
Saying of Allah «Strike the (dead body) with part of the (Sacrificed cow)» they interpret that the one who should be striked and one by whom should that strike be done, that’s Zubair and Talha».
When in Quran mentioned khamr (vine) and maysir (gambling games) they interpret it like Abu Bakr and Umar.
Words jibt wa tagut they interpret like Moawiya and Amr ibn al-As».

(taken from «Tawil mukhtalaful hadith» p 152, «Kayihan» publishing house).

Hadith: Lend to Allah mean payment to imam

Allah said in Quran:

11. Who is he that will lend unto Allah a goodly loan, that He may double it for him and his may be a rich reward?

Kulayni in “Kafi” (1/537):

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hakam from abu al-Maghra from Ishaq ibn Ammar asked abu Ibrahim (alayhi salam) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Gracious, “Who is he that will lend unto Allah a goodly loan, that He may double it for him and his may be a rich reward”.He said, “It was revealed about the payments to Imam”

Muwathaq for Majlisi.
Abu Ibraheem should be Moosa al-Kadhim.

Hadith in tafsir surah al-Bagarah verse 40

Verses of Quran. Surah Baqara.

38. We said: Go down, all of you, from hence; but verily there cometh unto you from Me a guidance; and whoso followeth My guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.
39. But they who disbelieve, and deny Our revelations, such are rightful Peoples of the Fire. They will abide therein.
40. O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil your (part of the) covenant, I shall fulfil My (part of the) covenant, and fear Me.
41. And believe in that which I reveal, confirming that which ye possess already (of the Scripture), and be not first to disbelieve therein, and part not with My revelations for a trifling price, and keep your duty unto Me.

Shia commentary:
Kulayni in “Kafi” (1/431):

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Abu Umayr from Sama˜ from abu Abdallah (alayhi salam) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most gracious. ” fulfil your (part of the) covenant” it’s mean the covenant to acknowledge Wilaya of Ali (alayhi salam) and “I shall fulfil My (part of the) covenant” that’s mean admit you in paradise)”.

Majlisi said: “Good (hasan) or mawquf (elevated)”.

al-Hilli: In the way of Allah mean in the way of Ali

Izzadeen Hasan ibn Sulayman al-Hilli in book “Mukhtasar basaer” p 111-112, wrote:

From Jabeer ibn Yazeed, from Abu Jafar (a.s) that was asked about verse of Allah: “And if you are slain in the way of Allah or you die” (1), and he said: “O Jabeer! Do you know what does it mean in the way of Allah?“. (Jabeer) I said: No, by Allah, only if i would hear that from you”. (Abu Jafar) said: “(That’s mean) to die in the way of Ale (alayhi salam), and whoever would die due to his wilayah, (he died) in the way of Allah“.

No need for comments. You see they are not sayng clear: Ali is Allah, but they are making all kind of possible allusion to that.

Commentary of verse from al-Fatiha

Allah Taala said in Quran, surah al Fatiha:

اهدِنَــــا الصِّرَاطَ المُستَقِيمَ

[1:6] Keep us on the right path

Shia tafseer. Tafseer Ayashe vol 1, p 24
“Daud ibn Farkad from Abu Abdullah (a.s) said: “Keep us on the right path” that’s mean amiralmomineen salawatullah alayhi”.
