Maida 87 verse. Saheeh shia explanation

Allah said in the Quran:

[Shakir 5:87] O you who believe! do not forbid (yourselves) the good things which Allah has made lawful for you and do not exceed the limits; surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits.

Shaykh of shias allama al-Majlisi in “Uyunul Hayat” (1/348) narrated:

Uyun al Khayat p 348

Translation:

Narrated Ali ibn Ibrahim WITH AUTHENTIC CHAIN, in his Tafseer commentary of verse ” O you who believe! do not forbid (yourselves) the good things which Allah has made lawful for you” from Abu Abdullah (alaihi salam): It was revealed about commander of faithful (alaihi salam), Bilal and Uthman ibn Maudhun.

And commander of faithful (alaihi salam) promised that he would never sleep at night, as for Bilal, he promised that he never would eat during the day, as for Uthman ibn Maudhun he promised that he never would marry (meaning he would never have intercourse with wife).

And wife of the Uthman ibn Maudhun entered upon Aisha, and she was beautiful woman. Aisha asked: Why I see you upset?…. His wife said: By Allah, my husband didn’t approached me from such and such time….. (when prophet sallalahu alaihi wa ala alihi wa sallam entered to Aisha, she said that to him)

He went out, and called to congregational prayer. People gathered, and minbar was set, he praised Allah, then said: What happen with group which prohibited upon themselves pure things? HEAR, I AM SLEEPING AT NIGHTS, MARRY (WOMAN) AND EAT DURING THE DAYS. AND WHOEVER WOULD GO ASTRAY FROM MY SUNNAH IS NOT FROM ME.

Allah Taala said in the Quran:

[Shakir 16:51] And Allah has said: Take not two gods, He is only one Allah; so of Me alone should you be afraid.

And He also said:

[Shakir 39:69] And the earth shall beam with the light of its Lord, and the Book shall be laid down, and the prophets and the witnesses shall be brought up, and judgment shall be given between them with justice, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.

Now let us check tafsir of these two verses, which shia ascribed to their Masoom Imam.

Commentary of Surah at-Tin

We have already gave an example of commentary of this surah from shia source. This is the second one.

Shaykh of shias Mirza Muhammad al-Mamiqani in his “Huroof an-Noraniya” (p 209) narrated from imam ar-Rida:

Translation:

From Muhammad ibn Fudayl: I said to Abul Hasan ar-Rida (alaihi salam): Tell me about words of Allah “I swear by the fig and the olive” till the end of the Surah. He said: “I swear by the fig and the olive” THAT IS HASAN AND HUSAYN. I asked: (what about) ” And mount Sinai”?  He said that is not “وَطُورِ سِينِينَ ” but it is “طُورِ سِيناء”. I said: طُورِ سِيناء?? He said: Yes, and that is commander of faithful. I said: (and what about) ” And this city made secure”? He said: That is messenger of Allah (sallalahu alaihi wa ali), people became safe by him, if they obey him…

Shia version and tafsir of 91 verse from al-Baqarah

Allah Taala said in His Book in surah al-Baqarah:

(91) When it is said to them, “Believe in what Allah Hath sent down, “they say, “We believe in what was sent down to us:” yet they reject all besides, even if it be Truth confirming what is with them. Say: “Why then have ye slain the prophets of Allah in times gone by, if ye did indeed believe?”

Shaykh of shias Hashim al-Bahrani explained this verse in his book “Al-Lawami an-Noraniyah” (p 23):

Translation:

24 (verse) – and it is Truth confirming what is with them in words of Taala: When it is said to them, “Believe in what Allah Hath sent down, “they say, “We believe in what was sent down to us:” yet they reject all besides, even if it be Truth confirming what is with them.

Ayashi: Jabir said that Abu Jafar said: THIS VERSE WAS REVEALED UPON MUHAMMAD IN THIS FORM: And when it is said to them, what your Lord has revealed about Ali – (them) mean Banu Umeyyah. we do believe what was revealed upon us – meaning in their souls, and disbelieve all besides what Allah revealed about Ali, and  it is Truth confirming what is with them – meaning Ali.

Commentary of third verse from surah al-Hadid

Allah said in the Quran:

[Yusufali 57:2] To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: It is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things.
[Yusufali 57:3] He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent: and He has full knowledge of all things.
[Yusufali 57:4] He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of Authority). He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah sees well all that ye do.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Ihsai in his “Najatul Halikin” quoted words of Imam Ali:

Translation:

And to this meaning pointed commander of faithful (alaihi salam) by his saying:   I am the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent

And then he quoted addressing of Sun to Ali:

Peace be upon you brother of messenger of Allah, O the First and O the Last, O the Evident and O the Immanent, and O THE ONE WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING.

Shia tafsir of Naml 89 – 90

Book: Alam ma badal Mawt” p 356-357

Author: Faydh al-Kashani.

In the chapter “Goodness of acknowledgement of wilayah and evilness of rejecting it”, al-Kashani narrated report:

Translation:

(With chain till) Abu Abdullah which reported from his father, that once Abu Abdullah al-Jadali entered upon commander of faithful (alaihi salam). And (Imam) said: O Abu Abdullah, should I tell you about saying of Allah Azwajal: “Whoever brings good, he shall have better than it; and they shall be secure from terror on the day. And whoever brings evil, these shall be thrown down on their faces into the fire; shall you be rewarded (for) aught except what you did? (Naml 89-90)?”

He said: Sure,  O commander of faithful, may I be your ransom.

(Imam) said: Goodness is acknowledgement of wilayah and love of us ahlalbayt, and evil is rejecting the wilayah and hate of us ahlalbayt. Then he read upon him that verse.

Al-Isra 79 – commented by Imam

Allah Taala said in the Quran:

(17:79) And during a part of the night, pray Tahajjud beyond what is incumbent on you; maybe your Lord will raise you to a position of great glory.

Al-Mufid in his “al-Ihtisas” (p 18) narrated:

عن جابر بن يزيد، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام في قول الله تبارك وتعالى: ” عسى أن يبعثك ربك مقاما محمودا ” قال: يجلسه على العرش معه.

Commentary of verse 65 from surah az-Zumar

Allah said:

[Yusufali 39:65] But it has already been revealed to thee,- as it was to those before thee,- “If thou wert to join (gods with Allah), truly fruitless will be thy work (in life), and thou wilt surely be in the ranks of those who lose (all spiritual good)”.

In Tafseer of Furat al-Kufi narrated from Abu Jafar (alaihi salam):

If you would make shirk in the wilayah of Ali, you would be surely be in the ranks of those who lose (all spiritual good)
